Scripture: Zephaniah 3:14-20, Matthew 2, Isaiah 12:2-6 | Series: Advent 2018
The joy of advent can withstand suffering even as it fights for the well-being of all people because it is rooted in the promise of God that all will be well. In the birth of Jesus the mightiness of God and his power to save are shown not in his power to destroy but in the infinite vulnerability of his love. This is the beginning of the promise which he will fulfill when he comes again, restoring the world through worshipful hearts.
