Scripture: 1 Samuel 18:1-9, 20:30-31, 20:41-42 | Series:

Last week Sharad talked about how, contrary to the wisdom of the world (since basically forever), opposite gender friendships are not only healthy and beautiful expressions of the Kingdom, but necessary for our discipleship and for the creational impulses God built into the world in how we image him in both our particular male and female ways. Today we are going to be exploring the opposite side of that coin, namely: How do same-gender friendships help us live lives of love, faithfulness, and justice, and what does the particular friendship of David and Jonathan (Which our passage describes as a covenant) say about God.
