Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:1-20 | Series: Eastertide 2018
Paul reminds us that the resurrection is the heart of our faith, the hinge upon which meaning in suffering turns and is ultimately the hope of the world. Either Jesus rose from the dead or our faith is a sick joke; but if our faith is a sham, the world at large has a bigger problem, because it means that life itself is a kind of sick joke. But because he had risen, we will rise; and because we will rise, the joke is on death and all the powers of evil in this world.
