Scripture: Ephesians 6:5-9, Exodus 20:8-11 | Series: Eastertide
We were created for Work (participating in God’s purpose) and for resting (receiving God’s Joy). Work is something we we built for, crafter for, wonderfully made for. Work is something our loving creator intends for our Good. Labor has intrinsic value: It’s how we participate in God’s work. We struggle to understand our work because we do not see the scope of God’s present work in our lives. Therefore it is imperative and holy to stop our work and rest; looking at and enjoying God’s work.
