Scripture: Mark 11:1-11; 1 Peter 5:1-11 | Series: Lent 2018
Palm Sunday is like the catalytic converter of history. As the beginning of Holy Week it begins the process by which the world would be forever changed in the death of Jesus Christ. All of history went in one side and came out new on Easter morning. This transformation obviously isn't an immediate and physical one - the world still has its ruthless empires, sin death and evil continue to afflict human beings. But the world changing difference began with the events of Palm Sunday, where the world's understanding of what it meant to rule, what it meant to thrive and what it meant to be free would be forever transformed by the cross.
