Scripture: Acts 19 | Series: Uncommon
The current election year has proved to be massively disturbing for anxious Christians of all political persuasions. But in the book of Acts the power to disturb and disquiet went precisely the other way - the worship of Christians was a public disturbance for the powers. They believed in a God who had defeated and was exalted above all earthly powers through the Lord Jesus Christ, and that made them bold to pursue an agenda in this world for a kingdom not of this world. The kingdom of God has its own foreign and domestic policy, its own economic concerns and it is own means of defense - and its victory is not only guaranteed, it is good news for the world.
