Scripture: Jonah 4 | Series: The Sign of Jonah
The ironic conclusion of the book of Jonah, where Jonah receives mercy without knowing it and receiving it. In this passage we see the admirable qualities in Jonah to express his anger and displeasure to God; while more incredibly we see God’s compassion to come quietly and speak to us in our anger, idolatry, and resentment with our vocations. How do we respond when our vocations don’t go our way? When God seemingly doesn’t punish those who do wrong? When God removes the “plant” we cherish?
