Scripture: Isaiah 61:1-4, 8-11; Luke 1:46-55; John 1:6-8, 19-28 | Series: Advent 2017
Joy doesn’t necessarily equate to happiness of a whimsical nature but rather a deep heartfelt gratefulness that comes from understanding pain. Isaiah 61 magnifies Gods plan and intention of salvation and restoration toward a true joy in Jesus Christ. The outcome of a restorative Joy is always righteousness and heartfelt praise. We as Gods children should keep externally and eternally focused on the hope of real joy, and what Christmas is all about.
